Thanks D&T
(SF) for letting me take 3 weeks off work! |
|

Thanks
Stephanie and Raj (Grenoble/ P-town) for tips on where to go in the
mountains. |

Thanks Michelle (Berkeley) for the ride to SFO airport so early in the
morning! |
|
Thanks
Alyssa ( Berkeley) for the going away goodie bag- I needed all the
Emergen-C and M&Ms for when I was sick most of the first week. And people on
the plane were impressed as I was browsing thru National Geographic. |

Another random Breast Cancer walk in a park:
free food, just like Golden Gate Park. We didn't walk, but we did crush
boxes. |

Oxford, England |

Thanks very
much Dustin (California/ Oxford) for a place to crash and get over my
jetlag, feeding me, taking me to see Shakespeare in the pouring rain
(typical English fashion, I presume, how did all the people know to bring
umbrellas?)
and all the rest. |

what's wrong with this

I'm lucky I didn't get killed
crossing roundabout traffic. |

I went to check out a math
lecture on Quasi-Monte Carlo methods at Oxford's Math Institute; I know,
I'm a big nerd. I wasn't impressed, however. Seems like Oxford is more of a
big name for the fact that it's really super old. Berkeley math grad
students are more whacky. |

sacrilege- lunch at a
cemetery. Seemed like a popular spot. At least we didn't sit ON the grave
like one chick. |
